APG Leaders take part in Military Appreciation Night

The RDECOM and APG Command Teams were at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen on July 30, 2010 for Ironbirds' Military Appreciation Night. RDECOM and Installation Commander Maj. Gen. Nick Justice and Garrison Commander Col. Orlando Ortiz were among those who threw out the game's honorary first pitches. Maj. Gen. Justice also thanked the Ironbirds and the crowd for their support of the military. Aberdeen Proving Ground also provided a Color Guard to post the colors, as well as a singer to sing the National Anthem. Other military personnel in attendance took part in various between-innings events, such as a push-up contest.

F Co 229th Military Intelligence Battalion train during their Military Operations on Urban Terrain exercise Nov. 21.
The exercise is part of the unit's required military training day exercises that take place
when the students are not in language classes and must train in their tactical proficiency.
